And I went down to the demonstration. To get my fair share of abuse

The 60s was a revolution. The new generation wanted change. They wanted love, peace, no war, everyone to be equal, and much more. They would parade up and down streets with their message. They would spend countless hours spreading their message of change. They weren't about to back down from anyone or anything. They wanted their message to be heard. They were trying to make their world a better place. John Lennon and Yoko Ono had a "Bed-In," in 1969. It was their way of promoting peace and apposing the Vietnam War with non-violence. The 60s was a time of change with help from everyone.
